Key challenges included the absence of a centralized dashboard to monitor land records, acquisitions, and encroachment activities; difficulty in visualizing land parcels and their usage status; manual and time-consuming property acquisition and proposal management; limited visibility into encroachment issues without timely detection mechanisms; and inefficiencies in documentation and approval workflows.

LAMS Solution for DS Group

CyberSWIFT implemented a customized LAMS solution named as Property Acquisition & Management System (PAMS) tailored to DS Group’s requirements, integrating the following key modules:

  • Dashboard: A unified, real-time dashboard showcasing state, district, and village-wise land distribution, property type, proportion of land under different usage, land acquisition status, map view, and live CCTV footage of different locations. It also includes interactive charts and summaries for quick decision-making.
  • GIS Map: Interactive GIS-based mapping of all land parcels with overlays for ownership details, boundaries, utilities, and other features. It provides advanced spatial search and filter options, integrated with high-resolution satellite and drone images.
  • Location Management: Centralized repository of all land locations including state, district, taluka, city, and village master.
  • Land Proposal Management: Digital workflow for raising and approving land proposals, tracking proposal status from initiation to approval with audit trail, and integrating related documents for seamless access.
  • Property Acquisition Process Management: End-to-end tracking of acquisitions through sale, lease, or government allocation, with automated notifications for pending approvals, payments, and compliance checks, along with integration to financial records for transparency.
  • Encroachment Detection: Drone survey and satellite image analysis for identifying encroachments and changes in land use, with comparison of past and present imagery for early detection, and an approval process for identified encroachments through site verification.
  • Live CCTV Footage Management: Centralized monitoring of live CCTV feeds from strategic land parcels.
  • Reports & Analytics: Customizable reports on land proposals, registration, sales, and property maintenance, with export options in Excel and real-time analytics to support strategic decision-making.
  • Mobile Application: Data collector mobile application for both Android and iOS platforms, featuring customized forms for field data collection, capturing geo-tagged photos and videos, GCP collection, and area measurement.

Implementation Strategy

We followed Agile methodology while implementing the solution. Agile methodology helped us to breakdown the development in stages ultimately leading to stage-wise deployment. It also focused on continuous collaboration between client and implementation team for smooth deployment and transition.

The implementation was mainly divided into the following four stages:

  1. Requirement Analysis: Conducted detailed meetings with the DS team to understand their requirements and identified key functionalities and data points required for the application.
  2. Development: Developed the application using state-of-the-art technology and ensured that it is user-friendly while providing real-time data access.
  3. Testing: Conducted rigorous testing to ensure the application meets all functional and performance requirements and performed user acceptance testing (UAT) with the DS team.
